Note: By requesting services, approving a quote, or making payment to Blue Ridge Fix Co., LLC, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Scope of Services

Blue Ridge Fix Co., LLC ("we," "us," "Company") provides residential handyman and home repair services in the greater Raleigh, NC area. The specific scope of work for each project will be described in a written quote or work order. Work not described in the written quote is not included and may require a separate change order.

We reserve the right to decline any job at our discretion. Acceptance of a quote or deposit does not guarantee availability until a start date is confirmed in writing.

2. Estimates & Quotes

Written quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise noted. Estimates are approximations based on visible conditions at the time of assessment. Final pricing may vary if hidden damage, unforeseen conditions, or scope changes are discovered during the work.

Client approval of a quote (electronic or written) constitutes authorization to proceed and acceptance of the quoted price and these terms.

3. Change Orders

Any work beyond the original agreed scope must be authorized by a written or electronic change order before work begins. Verbal agreements to additional work are not binding on the Company. We will provide pricing for additional work before proceeding. Change orders will be added to the final invoice.

4. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Jobs over $500 may require a deposit of up to 50% before work begins.
  • We accept cash, check, card, and online payment. Returned checks incur a $35 fee.
  • Unpaid balances more than 30 days past due accrue interest at 1.5% per month (18% annually).
  • Client is responsible for all collection costs, including reasonable attorney fees, if collection action is required.

5. Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee of up to $75 or 15% of the quoted price, whichever is greater.
  • If work has begun and the client cancels, the client is responsible for all time and materials expended to that point, plus a reasonable restocking fee for special-order materials.
  • We reserve the right to reschedule due to weather, illness, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will provide as much notice as possible.

6. Client Responsibilities

  • The work area must be clear and accessible at the scheduled time. Delays caused by inaccessibility may result in additional charges.
  • Client must disclose known hazards including lead paint, asbestos, mold, or structural damage prior to work beginning.
  • Client is responsible for obtaining any permits required for the work, unless we agree in writing to obtain permits on the client's behalf.
  • Materials supplied by the client are installed at the client's own risk. We are not responsible for defects in client-supplied materials.

7. Warranty & Workmanship

We warrant our workmanship for 30 days from the date of completion. This warranty covers defects in the work we performed, not damage caused by misuse, modification, normal wear and tear, or acts of nature.

Materials and products are subject to their respective manufacturer warranties. We pass through all manufacturer warranties to the client but make no additional warranty on materials beyond our workmanship.

This warranty is void if: (a) payment is not made in full; (b) the work area was modified by others after our work; or (c) damage results from pre-existing conditions not disclosed before work began.

8. Disclaimers

  • We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, hidden damage, or conditions not visible or disclosed at the time of assessment.
  • We are not responsible for damage to areas adjacent to the work area that could not reasonably be avoided.
  • Paint color matching is not guaranteed. We recommend the client purchase paint to ensure an exact match.
  • Estimates for time are approximations. We are not liable for delays caused by material availability, weather, or unforeseen conditions.

9. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability to client for any claim arising from services provided shall not exceed the total amount paid by client for the specific services giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind.

10. Photography

We may photograph completed work for portfolio and marketing purposes. No identifying information about the property address or client will be published. If you prefer we not photograph your project, please notify us in writing before work begins.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any dispute arising under these terms shall first be submitted to good-faith mediation. If mediation fails, disputes under $10,000 shall be resolved in Wake County Small Claims Court. The prevailing party is entitled to recover reasonable attorney's fees.
